Double Flange electric motors are an innovation developed by Nicolini & C as an alternative to the traditional connecting flange. It consists of a new coupling system for high pressure pumps, that synthetizes the advantages of the hollow shaft motor (reduced dimensions and low costs) with the advantages of standard motors with elastic/flexible coupling and flange (simple assembly and easy servicing).
The motor has two flanges: the first flange encloses the D-bearing (pump side) and it protects the heart of the motor; the second flange is designed to support the high-pressure pump and to contain the flexible coupling.
